Police in San Francisco are investigating what officials call a "suspicious" death after a woman's body was found in Golden Gate Park on Sunday night.
Officers responded to Golden Gate Park in the area of 22nd Avenue and Fulton Street for a report of a dead person, the San Francisco Police Department reported. Just before 7:45 p.m. local time, an unresponsive female was located and declared dead on the scene, police said.
The body was found near the annual Outside Lands music festival in Golden Gate Park, which took place over the weekend.
Police said the San Francisco County Medical Examiner declared the person's death suspicious. The circumstances and cause of the woman's death was not immediately released.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the person as 37-year-old Kelly Brock Koike of San Francisco, local outlets ABC 7 and KRON 4 reported.
According to ABC 7, the woman's mother, Roya Koike, spoke with the coroner who told her police found her daughter in a duffel bag.
"A dog walker found her," Roya told the outlet.
