Kylie Jenner is making up for lost time.
The makeup mogul and "The Kardashians" star opened up about being "misunderstood" and focusing on the fashion industry in British Vogue's September issue cover story after dedicating her 20s to her family.
"I feel like I've been in full mommy mode in my early 20s, (so) just to do something more for me after I had my son…" she told the outlet. "I've been way more into the fashion world and fashion week, and it's been so much fun. I'm like, 'Why didn’t I do this sooner?' Every time I go to Paris things just happen. I love the fast pace. It's a whole new world.”
She added by telling the outlet "I do think I'm misunderstood," saying, "I don't know who I would've been without all these eyes on me. I probably would've been, like, a different person, I would think."
The Kardashian-Jenner family first rose to stardom on their E! reality show "Keeping Up with The Kardashians," which premiered in 2007 and followed their individual and familial journeys to mainstream fame. Jenner's parents are Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner and family matriarch and momager Kris Jenner.

The Kardashian-Jenner family's youngest daughter has made headlines over the last year for her subdued fashion compared to her famous sisters and former self, focusing on elegant silhouettes and chic designer footwear as well as pieces from her elevated yet affordable fashion brand Khy.
"The tricky part is figuring out the balance of growing up with your kids. I have to remind my friends who don't have kids all the time, who are like: 'Let's do this in the morning!,' that I have children. Letting go of your selfishness and your freedom at a very young age," Jenner, who is the first Kardashian-Jenner family member to appear in British Vogue, told the outlet.
She continued: "I don't think we realize how selfish we are as human beings until we have children."
Jenner, who was pregnant with Stormi at 19 years old, talked about how at 27 she is "finally feeling like myself again, and (looking back) I think, being pregnant, I wore sweatpants every day, I didn't have time to figure out even some of the little things in my life, and then postpartum lasted a year."

Jenner also addressed rumors that she is on the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic, which has also been used by celebrities for weight loss.
"I'm back at my weight I was before I had my daughter and son and people are putting side by sides of me three months postpartum. I'm like: 'Does everyone forget that I had two children and I gained 60 pounds both pregnancies?'" Jenner said.
