Of the medal contenders in men’s 5x5 basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Australia doesn’t get the same attention as Canada, France, Germany or Serbia.
However, Australia, which won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, has multiple NBA players, including Joe Ingles, Josh Giddey, Dante Exum, Jock Landale, Dyson Daniels and Josh Green, and several other players with NBA experience, including Patty Mills, who finished last season with the Miami Heat.
The United States plays Australia in an exhibition game Monday – another good test for both teams ahead of the Olympics.
A medal is a possibility for Australia in Paris, but it plays in the difficult Group A with Greece, Canada and Spain.
